Citizen Alarm
I won an eBay auction for a nice gold-plated Citizen Alarm wristwatch.
This is relatively unknown in the west because it was originally only
marketed and sold in Japan. I got it cheap because it was not running --
the balance staff is broken. So, my first quest was to determine the
movement model number. I dug around and eventually asked
on WRT. TL;DR: the DCN #612 staff works.

Disassembly and fault finding
The caseback is a snap-fit. It will only fit in one orientation because
the alarm hammer interfaces with a peg on the caseback. It's also a
front-loader. This took me ages to figure out...
Detailed shots from balance work. Here's the broken pivot.
Unfortunately the hairspring collet has a crach running through it.
Since I can't source a new collet, I opted to glue it onto the new
staff. If I didn't, it would work loose.
The center wheel jewels are cracked. I'm lacking photos, but I plan to revisit this watch when I have a jewelling tool.
